Gigi Hadid isn’t just a pretty face – she’s now joined the public fight to celebrate the beauty of imperfection and female empowerment.

She’s been announced as the newest face of Reebok’s #PerfectNever campaign, joining UFC athlete Ronda Rousey. The campaign is a reminder that strength can mean so many different things, but celebrating yourself for who you are is the most important thing. And we reckon that’s something we can definitely get behind!

Gigi wrote on her Instagram about the campaign: ‘”Perfect” never exceeds expectation. It doesn’t allow us to reach our full potential. May we be confident and have love for who we are, but, in all that we are passionate about, may we always remember that Good is the enemy of GREAT. Don’t settle. I’m so honored to join a campaign that’s committed to pushing these boundaries for women.’

And sure, you’re probably thinking that a stunning supermodel talking about imperfection is ridiculous (because, well, just look at her), but she’s a woman who has insecurities and has struggled under perception, just like all of us.

For Gigi, being in the public eye must be damn difficult – she’s being scrutinised every second of the day. The one thing that gives her solace? Exercise.

“Working out isn’t only physical for me. It’s mental,” says Gigi. “It helps me escape the noise in my head. It’s the only time my mind goes quiet.”

“When I was a competitive athlete, I used to be so focused on being perfect that my coaches would take me out of competing all together. I’d focus on my mistakes which would breed more missteps — a domino effect. Until I learned to change the channel, to refocus, reset. It was my mistakes, my imperfections that motivated me most,” says Gigi.
