Spin class is one of the best forms of cardio there is. Set in a dark room to banging tracks these classes are as motivating as they are difficult. If you’ve ever been mid-way through a sprint track and wondered if you could leave with nobody noticing, if you’ve ever been so sweaty during a hill climb that you almost slipped off the handle bars or if you’ve thought you had five minutes to go when really you had half an hour, you’ll probably be able to relate to the following.

“I’ve got these handlebars a bit too high. Oh well, this is going to be a Harley Davidson style spin class”

“Nope! I’m not turning up my resistance, this is meant to be a WARM UP!”

“This kinda hurts my crotch. What do guys do with their under carriage? How does that work?”

“Track 4? Ok almost done. How many tracks are there…? EIGHT? Wait WHAT?”

“I’ve had a wedgie for so long I’m actually getting used to it.”

“There’s no way the person in front of me is using enough resistance. I’m dying and they’re out for a leisurely Sunday bike ride.”

“Is this Bikram spin class? I’m sweating into my eye balls!”

“This isn’t sweat, these are tears, I’m crying”

“I really hope that’s the last standing climb. Please, please let it be over. AAAAAND we’re up again!”

“Are there any kilojoules left in my body? I think I’ve burnt them all.”

“This techno track is really doing it for me. I feel on top of the world!”

“I’m not going to make it, this is all I have, I have given everything. I won’t make it. I – oh. It’s over. I made it!”

“Be cool, be cool. Walking is very, very difficult but everything is fine. I may have lost the full function of my legs but everything is fine.”
