We are a dog-loving nation and it’s almost standard for us to treat our furry friends the same as (if not better than) any other human. I mean, science says that talking to pets is a sign of intelligence and working out with them makes us healthier.

Now, we’ve got some news that both you and your beloved pooch will love – Australia’s first doggie wellness event is happening very soon and you can be a part of it!

To launch the new Purina Beyond ‘Simply 9’ Range of dog food, Nestlé Purina have teamed up with former Australian pole-vaulter and fitness expert Amanda Bisk to host Fitness on 4 Paws in Sydney’s Centennial Parklands.

If you love exercising with your four-legged mate, Bisk will be leading a fun workout that both you and your dog can reap the rewards of! (Can you just imagine doing a burpee alongside your animal bestie?) You’ll also learn how to maintain a healthy, balanced diet from a Purina Nutritional Expert and how to keep an active lifestyle.

“Dogs are a much-loved extension of our families, so their nutrition and fitness needs are equally important,” says Bisk. “I can’t wait to host this unique event to share my experience and advice with owners, and show how small steps can support their dog to be happy and healthy.”

Fitness on 4 Paws will be taking place on Saturday 15 July from 10am to 11.15am. Tickets are free and are expected to be released again on Monday – stay updated by checking Event Brite here.
