Chia pudding
Chia pudding is SO easy to make and has stamina-inducing properties. Chia seeds contain fibre, protein and omega 3 so they make the perfect ingredient for any dish. In a small jar or cup, soak ¼ cup chia seeds with 1 cup milk of your choice and ½ tablespoon honey. Let it set in the fridge overnight (it should be thick and the seeds should gelled) and top with fruit and nuts.

Trail mix
Instead of a supermarket-bought trail mix that’s full of sugar, it’s time to go DIY. Chop up some Brazil nuts (boosts your metabolism), cacao nibs (for antioxidants) and sprinkle with coconut flakes (increases energy). YUM.

Try this recipe for a load of muscle-lovin’ protein in one tasty bite:

Place 1 cup almond meal, 1½ cups desiccated coconut and 1tbs vanilla-flavoured protein powder in a large bowl and mix well. Add 4tbs honey, 4tbs coconut oil and the juice and zest of 1 lemon and stir until the mixture comes together. Roll into balls and roll in a little more desiccated coconut to finish. Makes 12.
