Avocados are legit the most versatile/delicious fruit IN THE WORLD so we’re all familiar with the joy of finding cheap and perfectly ripe ones at the supermarket.

But what’s if they’re hard as a rock and you’re planning a Mexican fiesta with guacamole? This trick will help ripen those avos in no time – and the only two things you need to do it with are probs in your kitchen right now.

So what do you do? Place your avo inside a brown paper bag with an apple or banana for a couple of days. That’s it!

This nifty little life hack works because a plant hormone called ethylene (found in apples and bananas) quickens the ripening process while the gases are trapped in the bag.

Now no hard avocados will stop us living out our guacamole dreams.
