Nourishing post-workout hair mask
Sweating it out in the gym may be good for your body but constantly pulling your hair into a ponytail, over washing and using heat styling products can leave our locks looking dry and damaged. Using a high quality shampoo and conditioner, snag free hair ties and heat protecting sprays will help but sometimes your hair needs an intervention.
This quick and easy hair mask is perfect for end of week nourishment on a Friday night. All you need is two ingredients and you might already have them in your pantry.
What you’ll need:
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp raw honey
How to do it:
Heat a saucepan over a low heat. Spoon in honey and coconut oil and mix until combined.
Turn off the heat and allow the mixture cool to a mild temperature. Section your hair off into 3-4 parts, wrap a towel around your shoulders to protect yourself from any spillage and apply the mixture liberally starting from the ends and working your way to the scalp.
Pull on a shower cap and leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes.
Note: It’s best to apply the hair mask to wet hair but it can be put on dry.
