It’s hard not to rate a cafe highly when they offer thick and fluffy, refined sugar-free pancakes all day long. Pancakes for lunch make for a fantastic day and Jaymie couldn’t resist. The pancakes came out topped with bacon and a side of banana and I experienced some serious food envy. Luckily, the envy was short lived because my chicken salad with freekeh, seeds, almonds and beetroot was just what I needed after a busy morning.
The healthy options on Hale and Hearty’s menu are endless. From wraps filled with lean protein and vegetarian options to superfood smoothies and a selection of salads, you won’t struggle for a wholesome and nutritious meal here. Hale and Hearty lets you choose a protein (steak, pulled pork, chicken or salmon), then choose a salad and add sides to make your own custom meal. Or, if you’re like Jaymie you can select from one of seven different pancake options (tiramisu pancakes, yes please) and all of them are made from rice flour, coconut sugar and coconut milk, making them vegan friendly as well as mouth watering.
