If you consider the choice between pasta or fries pretty difficult, scientists have helped settle the score.

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition looked at which side dish between the two would be more satisfying and make you fuller for longer, meaning you’d eat less following your delish meal.

Those studied ate a normal brekkie, a carb-based lunch and a normal dinner for five days, with all meals except for lunch staying the same.

The participants then rated how they felt after each lunch, with the results showing that chips made them feel fuller than any other carbs.
